Is Terraria even playable without Wiki and tutorials?
I used to play Terraria many years ago, but I don't remember much, because I never really got into it.

I'm kinda tempted to give it a second chance, but with so many items to craft and things to do, I always feel like thrown into a large ocean naked and without a raft. I don't even know where to start.
However, looking up game mechanics just does not seem fun to me, yet I feel like I'm missing out so much stuff when I play blind...

I guess this is why I almost stopped playing crafting sandbox games. I always feel too overwhelmed by the content they offer.

It is playable without it.

You have the guide npc, he'll give you hints on what to do next as well as tell you what you can craft with items that have a "material" label on them. It's definitely possible with him.

i have played a long time now and that's totally normal just dont focus on how many things they're focus on what you can do next
even if it's alot try and narrow it by a few choices
there are so many things but what's important is to play and have fun and slay em bossesd

You just have to take it a little slow, which is still really fun.

I would say everything is playable without the wiki up to a certain point, which is post-Golem. The Lunatic Cultists are there to guide you to the next progression, but you may be unready because you haven't fought the Pumpkin Moon (not that difficult to discover via guide + Ectoplasm), the Martian Invasion (probably will not discover without wiki or extensively exploring in the outer regions of the map), or Duke Fishron (probably will not discover without wiki.)

no, its not playable. unless you mean not enjoying the game.
yes it s a design flaw. (wonder why there are so many ridiculous fanboys defending the game whatever it takes. it s becoming tiring)

Just because you suck at exploring doesn't mean everyone else does. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i wonder why this game brings so much immaturity. it seems very adult to me.

Why is that? The game IS easy enough to play without a guide, most of the time...

you will miss 90% of the game if you dont look at the wiki. i m pretty adamant about it.
