Hermes Boots are so annoying

Here is a step by step process of my troubles

-Starts Game after months
-Creates new character
-Goes to cave
-Wondering where hermes boots are
-doesn't find hermes boots
-Continues
-Beats all bosses pre wall of flesh
-realises that I need hermes boots
-Goes on a hunt for hermes boots
-Can't find any
-Creates a temorary world that has new chests to find hermes boots
-can't find any at all
-decides to load the end game character I have
-Creates new world
-Can't find hermes boots
-Creates 3 more worlds
-Still can't find hermes boots
-gets off in rage
-Gets back on after the next day
-spends two hours looking for hermes boots in different worlds
-still can't find any
-looks up tutoriel
-Doesn't find anything
-tries again
-doesn't find anything
-gives up

Some may be exagerated
but who cares. I can't find herpes boots.

You should try to fish them up. There's a pair in Wooden Crates. Not exactly Hermes' but they do the same thing.

Meh, this is what bothers me about Terraria sometimes. Cloud in a Bottle, Hermes, and Lava Charms feel like a 1 in a 1,000. I feel like someone should sell the boots, or any hard to find accessories for that matter.

Like a treasuer hunter NPC, you can buy hard to find items. I don't know, I'd just like an easier way.

Sailfish boots work exactly the same way, can be upgraded, and are obtainable without caving. Just fish until you get crates, open a bunch up.

There's also a pair similar to Hermes boots in Frozen chests, though I forget the name.

Flurry Boots. Fishing one is Sailfish.

If you really want Hermes Boots specifically, then they're just found in Golden Chests. Golden Chests are found in the wooden structures everywhere underground.
