Time Played on Characters

Can anybody tell me if this is supposed to count overall playtime or something else? The playtime on my main character is 00:00:00 even though i have 13 hrs of playtime on my profile for Steam. Can someone tell me what the timer on character selection screen does? Thanks in advance.

In that case, how do i report a bug? Mine isn't working: It's still at 00:00:00 even though i have played with my char for about 10 hours...

Nope.

This happens because you play while having Autopause active.

That's it.

I mean thanks for the answer, but autopause is good and I shouldn't have to disable it to track time :(

Dang, I know some players have difficulties on doing things (like dodging or etc) while managing inventory, and it can be hard to change from using Autopause to not using it.


One thing.

Autopause is going to be removed from Terraria in 1.4
Reason?
It was abusable as an exploit to "Stop Time" and cheese Boss Fights.

They would fix the bug easily, the problem is that the challenge of the Boss Battles aren't fun anymore thanks to these players who abuse the Autopause button to Stop Time and do everything they want in the inventory before going back to a fight.

Change armors, items, layouts of accesories.

These people are the cause of why Autopause is going to be removed.

I agree but fighting them enraged intentionally is not something an average player would do.

Auto pause is honestly an out dated feature. Its as simple as leaving your game these days.
