Question I have about the unicorn statue.

Since the Unicorn is a hallow enemy, and the hallow enemies occasionally drop the unicorn mount, would it be possible to get one pre-hardmode? (As it said on the wiki drop rates are lowered)

Yes, though you would have to do it manually, otherwise it won't drop anything. At the prehardmode stage of the game, I'd wholly suggest not trying since the rate is already quite low, and with it being lowered even further since it's spawned, it's really not worth it especially with the amount of time it would take to kill a single Unicorn.

i would say "don't waste ur time for that mount" i mean...not just from unicorn but you can have got that thingy from pixie in bloodmoon. (in case you really want tht mount)

Oh well, I wasn't really wanting one, but, I was just extremely curious.

I heard with the medusa statue it wouldn't drop a medusa head pre-hardmode but it doesn in hardmode, so the unicorn statue might not drop the mount prehardmode but you could always try. However I think the drops are divided by 25 (at some point the wiki said divided by 4 but now it says 25) and since the normal drop rate is 1/150, 1/150 * 1/25 = 1/3750. Even if it does work prehardmode with a slime staff you'll be farming a while.

The wiki says the drop rate is reduced, but still possible. However, mimics will NOT drop anything of spawned via statue.

It's (normal) dropchance is 1/200.
