What is the Hardest Enemy in Terraria? (not including bosses)

What enemies have your guys died from the most or just in general the hardest enemy?

Medusa. I'm so glad they made them hardmode enemies. But they can always kill you no matter your gear if they turn you to stone high in the air.

Definitely pre-1.3.1 Medusa, because of their ability to turn you into stone pretty much anywhere, having 400 hp, spawning in pre-hardmode, and spawning more common than normal.

Green Slime, it kills me every time, even when I had full solar armor and tried hitting it through a wall with a solar eruption.

Yes, the pre nerf was insane! The solar ones are really bad if you are a ranger ot if you rely on flight.

Red devils or Chaos elementals...After beating wall of flesh..2 red devils spawn at either side of me....I killed one of them..IT DROPPED THE TRIDENT the other completely pwn3d me -_-

There is a way to avoid..when she is doing the attack just look away...just like the real medusa..turn back and then attack it

Yeah, but when you are a builder flying through the jungle in search for minecart tracks to connect to eachother and underground cabins to rebuild you might run into some bs Medusas.

F*ck, absolutely fuuuuuuuu*ck the Crawltipedes. Bullsh*t is what they are. Massive attack, fastest enemy in the game and it's basically meant to shoot you out of the sky? Took more deaths on the Solar Pillar than Moon Lord because of them. Oh, and did I mention they're the only enemy with a specific weakpoint? About as big as a green slime, but flying at godd*mn mach-3, with a few hundred health, and the rest of it is invincible.

If you guys can give me anything worse than this, then be my humble guest.

I can't, those guys are the reason i hate the solar pillar more than any of the others, it's ridicuous trying to kite around this sthing while a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of other enemies are waiting to sucker punch you if you get too distracted dodging it.

I found this didn't work although if i was facing away from medusa when it started the attack I wouldn't be turned to stone, there is no tell for when the attack will start and the instant the attack starts if I was facing medusa I would be turned to stone.

Those f#$%ing Crawltipedes...you're not allowed to leave the ground without getting annhilated by those guys which RNG sometimes makes happen even when you're standing on the ground anyway. Plus, there's a good 15 other enemies you have to fend off at all times which would still be pretty difficult even if you were allowed to fly.

Crawltipedes, although they can be easily avoided by not flying, however if you've beaten the pillars many times, IT'S REALLY HARD NOT TO FLY. They move fast too, so you basically have to hit a high moving target's tail without flying.
Pre-1.3.1 Medusas were just a pain in the neck. I mean, I'm trying to dig in the Marble biome and Bam! Stoned, and killed.
