How can I find easly Lava Charm?

I made 2 characters and I deleted them but both of them got the Lava charm, both of them got it at the first chests.I deleted them because I didn't like how I started the game and I made a 3rd character.I can't seem to find in any way the Lava charm,I made like 20 potions to see the treasures ,I opened many gold chests in the caver but no luck.Should I just give up and stop thinking about it and probably I will find it some day or there's an easy way somehow?

They are just very, very rare. Even large worlds often only generate with 4 or less.

If you haven't yet, I would suggest a splunker potion. It helps with finding those underground houses.

they can only be found in gold chests in the cavern layer. On PC there are 9 rare items that can be found these are band of regeneration, magic mirror, cloud in a bottle, hermes boots, enchanted boomerage, shoe spikes, flare gun, extractinatior and lava charm. The lava charm only has a spawn chance of 2.5% the extractinator 6.5% the spawn rate of the other 7 items is not specified so presumably the remaining 91% chance is spilt evenly among them so the other 7 items have a 13% drop rate. As you can tell this means that the lava charm is very rare only being in 1/40 gold chests at cavern layer.

also getting 1/40 chance 3 times in a row is impressive. 1/40*1/40*1/40 = 1/64,000

Presumably you want the lava charm to make lava waders, You could use water walking and obsidian skin potions. water walking allows you to walk on lava without taking damage and the obsidian skin means you can stand in the lava without taking damage until the potion ends so together they are much better than lava waders since you can stand in lava for 4 mins instead of less than 10 seconds.

Yes I want to craft the lava waders.I guess I will try to do other things before defeating the Wall of Flesh and hopefuly I will find that lava charm in some chest...

While this may be true, the Lava Waders are always one of my most sought after items in any play through. I use obsidian skin potions even with the waders if I'm doing a lot of submerged-lava work like hellstone mining or lava lake swimming, but apart from that I don't like always keeping potions chugged for active buffs all the time and being able to walk on lava while dipping in a few seconds at any given time with no potions is extremely convenient.

And what willy said, you need the waders to actually walk on the surface of lava.

sorry i meant water walking potion not water walking boots. the potion lets you walk on lava and you don't take damage even when not using obsidian skin potion unless you press down to go into the lava.

That works but it is quite a risky and potion heavy alternative. Lava Waders for the win! xD

I don't see how it's risky and considering he made 20 sperlunker to find the lava charm I don't think making potions is a problem for him.

It is risky when cavern/hell mobs are jumping on you from above and you aren't a pro or completely aware of all your surroundings while spelunking (which I'm not perfect, who is right?)

Potion making isn't a problem, having to take them all the time for every little reason when you could void the need for some of them using a nice accessory instead, is simply preferred. Especially when it comes to spelunking and inventory management. Less potions = more spaces. The waders also aren't timed where you need an item to recharge them after a few minutes nor do you have to have a farm for ingredients and spend time harvesting and brewing potions. I'm sure there are more advantages I'm not thinking of.

The only advantage to your method that comes to mind personally, is not having access to the lava waders. At least that's my opinion.

considering the 1/40 chance of finding lava waders in each gold chest only in cavern area makes it sould like it'd be faster to get the potions especially since you can even get the from just breaking pots in hell. Also the water walking potion is easy to farm a basic manual ocean farm can be made in less than 10 seconds for shark fins and you can easily get waterleaf from the desert without having to wait for rain or set up planters for them. Also the advantage of potions is although they may last a set amount of time in this case 5 mins they are extra. Having a potion active has no downside whereas an accessory takes up 1 of your 5 or 6 slots which could be used for many other accessories. Also having lava waders equipped doesn't make any difference to the problem you brought up of mobs jumping on you from above. using water walking potion or lava waders you will still get hit in either case but you won't fall into the lava.
