it definitely does not grow that slow. You need to place the chlorophyte farm in the jungle caverns for it to actually start to grow.

few things you need to be in hardmode in the jungle and ya thats the main things. it also spreads if there is one so if u want to farm it just place some ore and let it grow

I understand this. I am in hardmore, post mech, with a chlorophyte in the center of each 5x5 mud cell. No growth, cavern layer, jungle.

There is a grow limit, the explanation on the wiki is a bit confusing though, “Chlorophyte has a spreading limit, checking a square area roughly centered around the ore tile selected to update.” “The Cavern short-range maximum is 41 ore blocks in a 35 tile range (71x71 square) and the long range max is 131 ore blocks in a 85 tile range (171x171 square).”

If you can decipher that, then more power to you lol, but what I gather from it is that you may have too many individual blocks close together.

Chlorophyte Farm in the Jungle? Not gonna work unless you clear the area around the farm from the Chlorophyte so it can grow, better location for that farm is Underworld or anywhere in the Cavern layer, It doesn't need to be in Jungle to grow.

it doesn't have to be in the jungle. All you need is to be in cavern layer, place some mud regularly (like 5x5 mud) WITH one chlorophyte ore in the middle. The 5x5 chunks of muds need to be spread out (as said before, too many ores nearby will prevent spread). The ore will slowly spread to nearby mud blocks. I have a working chlorophyte farm (even opposite to jungle) in underworld under my WoF bridge, and i have no problems.

Chlorophyte doesn't actually need to be in the jungle to grow. It can grow anywhere as long as it's in mud and in the cavern layer.
