Seems like the Cross Necklace/Star Veil got a huge nerf...
I couldn't help but notice, loading up a file today, that my character was taking decidedly far more hits than he used to. It wasn't consistent, however; sometimes enemies were only landing the usual hit-per-1.5-seconds that the Star Veil and Cross Necklace grants, while other times I was taking hits as frequently as a non-veil/necklace character. Then I realized what it was: the Star Veil and Cross Necklace now only grant longer mercy invincibility for subsequent attacks from specific enemies. If you've got several enemies hitting you at once, they're rendered almost completely useless. Why would they even do that? It's not like the extra mercy invincibility was any sort of game-breaking...
