A point to making a drill instead of a pickaxe

So currently there is NO reason to make a drill over a pickaxe, since a pick is a straight knockback upgrade. So I think drills should have the ability to stun enemies in one spot whikle drilling into them. please tell me what you think!

Yes, I think the same way, or maybe they should be fixed. Someone made an experiment and uploaded the video to Youtube. He got some objective information and proved Pickaxes are better thn drills for mining.

I personally don't like the sound of a drill or the look of it... Idk why drills even exist. I do have seen people using drills because... idk, I just saw them using the drills, but there is no real difference except that pickaxes have knockback and are so much cooler.

Pickaxes are stupid and lame looking, drills are awesome and make a better noise. Seriously the hardmode bars do NOT look good with a pickaxe.

Well, there is a thing that is better than both! aaaand it's a Pickaxe-axe! You can't combine drills with axes, or drills with chain saws, or chainsaws with pickaxes. But! you can combine pickaxes with axes :P oh yeah! 1:0

They exist because the dev thought it would be a clever idea to make the hardmode version of a pickaxe a drill. They used to be the only option but the 1.2 update added a pickaxe version of all the drills. I'm guessing people complained about the dramatic shift in sound/use of the drills so they decided to provide options.

Drills are completely useless as weapons so I can see why they would. It never bothered me though. I always pulled out a proper weapon to kill things.
