I am out of thoughts on how should I shape and build a house anyones got any ideas or a link where it could give me an idea of a house design??

Build a floating Mushroom Island over a lava sea. With chains hanging off the bottom.

It took me a long time to find out that I can use a hammer on blocks to make them diagonal so that I could build a nice roof, as well as on platforms to make stairs. :3
This is my favourite house I've made so far, although nothing too fancy:

I also really like decorating with plants and books/ bookcases since they add nice colour.

My fav ice castle i've made. Remember that you can use paint to change the colour of the blocks & walls to your liking. ;D

This isn't a house, but I would suggest making a sort of abandon mine shaft or a sort of unique biome. IE: on surface marble biome with a castle made of marble, or an one surface honey biome.

anyone an idea for a big giant huge smooth marble home? i got so much marble i dont even know what i should build. So any ideas?
