(Terraria) Dwarf Challenge

Im thinking of starting a new small Terraria server to do the Dwarf Challenge on. To anyone who doesnt know what this is on the first day you can stay above surface and collect wood and loot but after the first day is over you must stay underground and cannot go back up to the surface.

-Rules-

In this challenge you have the first day to gather all the resources you can from the surface(such as wood) then when the first night begins you must go below ground and never return to the surface... except for a few reasons...

The only times you may return to the surface is to do the following, HOWEVER you MAY NOT use these times to say... gather more wood... as it would ruin the point of the challenge(so you can only gather supplies from the surface on your first day, and not during return trips to do certain things that can only be done on the surface, although if you wish to collect Fallen Stars during that time that is fine, but why would a dwarf need magic anyway?)

The times that you can return to the surface are...
-To fight Skeletron(Note however that you may not enter the dungeon through the front door, you must tunnel in from underground, killing skeletron is just to stop Dungeon Guardian spawns)
-To fight an Invasion(Goblins, Pirates, Frost Legion, Pumpkin Moon, Frost Moon - Yes I count the moons as invasions)
-For the Truffle(Note when you make a truffle place however you must make the truffle's house accessable from underground)

0/10 no mention of lava traps, repeated death, repeated undeath, mayors that are necromancers, age old beasts made out of ale, unkillable sponge creatures, nigh-unkillable carp, sentient clouds of poison, etc.

Did not earn the title of Dwarf Challenge.

But in all seriousness!

I like it. I'd join, but I'm not too much of a multiplayer person.

I don't see why you would need to go above ground to fight off an invasion. They'll eventually find you anyway, won't they?

Wrong about what? I asked a question. I didn't make an assertion. There is a difference between saying something like "Is the sky green?" and "The sky is green!"

Besides which, you can stay in tunnel close to the surface but that can technically be underground and invasions will find you there. You can even increase the chances by having your tunnel closer to your spawnpoint.

Hey folks, coming from the future of 2016, can these "Dwarfs" use Magic Mirrors? And go to the surface for Meteorites? Thanks pals.

If you find a Magic Mirror then you would need to reset your spawnpoint somewhere underground. I am not sure about the Meteorite part but I see no reason why you would really need Meteorite to progress through the game, anyway, so it shouldn't be that much of a big deal...

BTW, I notice this thread has been necroed from almost two years back. What made you think looking through these old threads was more worth your time than simply making a new thread would be?
