but if you still want to make from bullet shell I suggest you to make
exploding bullets and venom bullets
Ok thanks... How does the venom work on bosses?
definitely awesome for fighting golem... but not that perfect though...
dont use it for twins, and other mechanical boss... its still better stick with chlorophyte bullets which can homing...
for destroyer better use exploding or crystal.
ohh ok.. gotchya
Actually, the damage of Chlorophyte Bullets was lowered in 1.2.3. Venom Bullets are now the most damaging bullets in the game, not counting added effects.
I wouldn't suggest ichor bullets. Ichor's not easy to gather large amounts of, and golden showers doesn't need you to keep finding more.
Venom bullets are currently the best in terms of raw damage, but with ym chaingun, I've found that crystall still grants higher damage per second.
Explosive bullets are great if you wnat to shove enemies away from you, and can do extra damage with the detonation. In fact, a target will get hit twice: once form the impact and once form the explosion. They're great for dealing with mobs, although they can be a bit dangerous to use, should you hit yourself.
As far as chrolophyte bullets go... they're only useful if you're a really bad shot. Or if you're hellbent on dodging attacks, at which point you can focus on the dodging and let the bullets do the work.
Have to disagree - Ichor is very easy to get.

That's my old soul/cash/key farm, back then I needed Vertebrae and Ichor. I had so many Ichors that I had to sell them. So yeah, if you need Ichor, try setting up a decent farm in the Crimson area. (not sure of a Corruption equivalent, as I'm not that familiar with it)
I'm not sure that you can farm that the same way you can ichor, however, as it only drops from Clingers or World Feeders, both of which are relatively uncommon and one of which follows the Plant AI, which means it's just stuck in one spot.
From a quick Google, it looks like it is (or at least was) possible to create a farm for Cursed Flames.

Does anyone know if that is still possible?
