Dungeon Fishing? [Solved]
How do you fish in the dungeon? There's no water in it.

This is like saying "How do I build? There are no blocks in my inventory."

An easy trick is to just carve out a good place in the beginning of the dungeon (300 tiles at least, for no penalty). Bring a lone Water Bucket, and place six tiles in this formation above your pond. The ---- are empty.

You should stand on top of the left or right tile, turn smart cursor on, and keep your left click pushed down. What will happen is your character will keep pouring out water.

Anyway, dungeon fishing is pretty dodgy at best. You're going to get like 2 dungeon crates out of 100 catches. I guess it's good if you want the authentic feel of fishing your own dungeon loot if you're in big server.

Just make sure you can still hear the dungeon music. You won't catch dungeon crates unless you are standing in front of a dungeon wall.

Oh, right. I forgot about buckets doing that. I thought they just functioned like bottles. I'm such an idiot. Thanks for the help. I was just curious.

A lone bucket though? Won't it become empty after pouring water once?

Yes it will. You could get a lot of buckets and/or make multiple trips, do the Angler's fishing quests until you get an endless water bucket, or mine out a hole leading from the dungeon to the beach.
I recomend being very careful with the beach idea because you could end up flooding the whole entire dungeon.

Oh, okay. I haven't really been using a guide or anything for fishing. I just came here because I was at an impasse. :koi:

Well, that's because of the 1.4 update that came out earlier this year. Dungeons now have trapped pits of water, lined with spikes, that are also a convenient way to let players fish. These didn't exist back in the 2016 version. Neither were the hidden areas or crumbling blocks.
