How did moon lord loose his legs?

Better question should be, why don't Diglett and Dugtrio show their legs? Or their bodies in a matter of fact?
Well, to not get off topic, let's just say Chthulu and the Moon Lord were having a fight on who should be in Terraria, and Chthulu chopped off the Moon Lord's legs with his tentacles.

He realised he could fly and doesn't need legs and decided to try and confuse his victims and/or make people under estimate him by removing them.

You're assuming that he ever had legs to begin with. Look at some of the other bosses. They're just parts. One boss is only an eye, another is two eyes joined together, another is just a brain, and two bosses are the top half of a skeleton. The Moon Lord looks very much like Cthulhu. It's definitely not a coincidence. It could be an aspect of his mind. Perhaps the bosses I listed are all manifestations of the mind of Cthulhu to some extent. Perhaps some of the normal enemies are too, while many others may have been created through corruption by Cthulhu's influence.

But that's just a theory. A game theory. :claugh:

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. I'll assume it's sarcasm.

The devs them self said that Moon Lord isn't Cthulhu. Also, Moonlord is blue and comes from space, Cthulhu is green and comes from the ocean.

obviously the moonlord was hungry. He tried to eat his legs one day, but cthulu ate them first. this caused cthulu to get a tummy ache, and he blew up. each piece of cthulu developed a mind of its own and became its own being. this is why you never see cthulu whole.
Because cthulu ate moonlords legs, the moonlord got upset and used his eye hands to try to steal the players legs. He despawns when you die because he has legs now, and he is happy.

Moonlord has obviously different features from Cthulhu and the devs them selves said that he is like a brother to Cthulhu.
