Help, NPC not spawning.
Hi there, I just need some help with spawning an NPC in Terraria. I'm pretty sure I've met all the criteria, but I just can't get any sort of NPC to spawn at all :/ Here is a picture of what my house looks like:

Are you hoping for them to spawn in the stone structure? Or the wood one off to the right?

That entire structure counts as one house, therefore, only one NPC can live in it. If you want multiple NPC's in it, you would need to divide it into multiple sections, each one being a suitable NPC house.

Is the guide living in the stone structure? If not, then they should spawn. If you're trying to get the merchant, you need 50 silver coins. Nurse, used at least one life crystal. Demolitionist, some sort of bomb (grenade, bomb, dinamite). Dryad, at least one boss defeated. I could go on, but you don't seem too far into the game.

Ahhhh, I see. I only bought Terraria today, so I don't know too much about it. I didn't know that the guide could choose a place to live though lol. Anyway I just found a heart crystal so i'll probably build 2 more NPC houses. Thank you for your answers guys! you were a big help.

This is actually incorrect, one of the following bosses needs to have been defeated in order for the Dryad to spawn, Eye of Cthulu, Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulu, or Skeletron.

Haha, yep. First time clickin' play and I'm already past 5 hours, this is extremely addicting :P

Yep. It does that to those that enjoy the game. I bought this game three years ago, and it's never ceased to entertain me since.

NPC's can not live in the same house. One house, one NPC. However, they can wander around, and somtimes will enter other NPC's houses. That's most likely what happened there.
