Wyvern farming

So I have enough materials to make a new set of wings, all I need is some more souls of flight. Despite sitting up on a floating island with a water candle, killing harpies by the dozen, wyverns just don't seem to be spawning at all. When I made my last few wings I had no trouble getting the souls I needed, but this time I seem just can't get any. Are there any ways besides getting high up with a water candle and a battle potion to farm some?

Try... Making a Sky Bridge? For me, when I make a sky bridge and run across it, a Wyvern will most certainly spawn, especially if you have a battle potion on and several water candles. Sorry if this doesn't work, don't have any other ideas.

if you do that a lot, they seem to eventually stop spawning, even though i set the spawn rate to 4x (yes, i am playing journey mode)
