Desert Sandstorm Event Not Happening

Ok so like the title says I havent been able to see any sandstorm events in any deserts on any worlds that i have played thus far, Ive litterally waited in each type of desert for Hours, probably about 10 in game days each and still nothing, has anyone else been able to get it to spawn cause I havent been able to find anything on it on the net. Anyone else have this problem or just me?

Hum. I think that the sandstorm come when it raining. Not sure tough, but that what I saw. In my world, when it raining, sandstorm event happen. Even when it slime rain it happen x) I'm not sure tough, maybe it that, maybe it other thing. Sorry if I'm wrong.

sandstorms are random events that don't always happen while its raining like blizzards. ive seen a lot and there not rare. but just a question are you in hardmode because they don't spawn in pre-hardmode. If you are then try all the 3 types of deserts normal, hallow, curroption/crimsom

Sandstorms DO spawn prehardmode, but only when its raining. i can confirm the slime rain will also have sandstorms aswell.

Really? I noticed my first sand storm on a expert play through i just started with a freind. I think it started when a blood moon just happened. Of course i'm not sure if that was just a random chance they both started at the same time, because it lasted quite a bit while after the blood moon ended.

Edit. and it wasn't raining.

Yes I have actually tried all these thanks, finally got one to spawn not sure what caused it still but maybe it will happen more now, maybe you cant be in the desert when it happens? cause i walked in this time and it was going on. also to the raining, its actually been raining in the desert and for a while it was like nothing but rain storms after another -.-

can't find sandstorms either, been sitting for a while in the desert, I am on hardmode and in expert and they will not spawn.
