Extreme lag under certain conditions
Like the title says, certain things lag my game terribly. So far, I know that blizzards seem to always do it, and sometimes the lunar events also do this. I'm not sure what the problem is, as my old computer, which was far worse than the one i have now, ran this stuff with no problems. I even tried turning the backround off, but it didn't help. If anyone know what to do, I wold be very thankful.

On my system, which has an AMD FX 8320 at 4.1GHz, 16GB of DDR3 RAM, and an AMD Radeon R7 250 GPU, the blizzard effect also lags me. Nothing else in the game lags me, not the lunar events, not the Frost Moon, not the Pumpkin Moon, not the Sandstorm effect, literally nothing else lags me but the blizzardf effect, and it's bad too. Down to 20 FPS, this seems to be a problem I'm seeing reported a lot.

Just saying durring the blizzard effect it dosnt really lag your game it just slows down movement and your mouse speed alot.

I beg to differ. I was watching my FPS with both, Terraria's FPS counter, and Steam's FPS counter, and both dropped significantly when the blizzard effect came on screen. It has nothing to do with actual movement speed or cursor speed, it is severe frame drops, and again, this is an issue I'm seeing a lot fo other players report.

Oh.
Also, the blizzard effect has no effect on movement spped, or cursor speed, that is the sandstorm effect, which only affects your movement speed, and also does not lag my game whatsoever. Only the blizzard effect.

Well It IS a new update and all, I'm sure it might need some fixes.

Well, of course. The sandstorm effect used to do the same thing the blizzard effect still does to me, but 1.3.3.2 seems to have corrected that, so they are working on it. It's just annoying while it is happening.

Well, it's at least good to know that I'm not the only having this problem and that they are probably working on it.
