How many times did it actually take you to beat Plantera?
I am highly curious actually, people have been calling this boss "hard" even when they have 70 defense and still can't beat it.

the firts time a lot, because an unknown boss is unknown. in fact we didn't knew collecting a bulb spanwed a boss xD

however if you prepare proper arenas every boss kinda gets easy. Especially the current terraria has a lot more gimmicks making many bosses easier than the older versions.

Most of the difficulty lies in finding the bulb. Then you need to make an arena. You cannot fight this boss outside of the Jungle and if you fight it too close to the surface then it becomes "Enraged Plantera" - its attack and defense go higher and it becomes faster. Extra conditions and restraints always make things more difficult because you need to meet them yourself. You can cheat with the EoW and BoC by making biome-specific platforms to mimic their conditions and you can make arenas to make other bosses - even the Dungeon Guardian and the Moon Lord - easier and technically even change where you fight them, but Plantera is notorious for how specific the conditions need to be in order to fight it and what you need to do beforehand in order to make it a fight you could feasibly win with stage-appropriate gear. You could cheat with lots of OP weapons and armor but that is just about the only way you could ever cheat with this boss.

I actually straight up beat it when I fought it for the first time right when 1.2 came out. A megashark with the then new chlorophyte bullets and frost armor pretty much rekt it, I did create a huge arena underground for it tho.

Now if I have a crimson world I just get a max defence build including flesh knuckles and turtle armor and beat it with the fetid banknaks or whatever they are called, just face tank it with some potions and ez pz. Literally just hook yourself to the ground and hold left mouse, done.

ok, a little backstory here, i play on an expert mode server my friend made, so we are trying to fight Plantera. Plantera on exprt mode is very hard, and we have no idea on what tactics we should use to fight it. We haven't won yet, and i have a terra blade, fetid, and reds throw. all godly, and a yoyo bag, as well as the fact that im a tank and have around 90 armor. WE HAVENT BEATEN IT AND ITS BEEN 3-4 TRIES

Honestly all you need is room. Dig up a really large area around the bulb and just fly in circles with plantzy and fire at it with terra blade or megashark or something. If you truly can't beat it, do what I just said but ontop of that create a small room right next to the arena and put a bed and the nurse in there, everytime someone is close to death, use the mirror, heal, and get straight back into the fight, thats the 100% win way

I remember one time I fought an enraged Exoert Mode Plantera on the surface with my Summoner character.

(Little trick that works with most bosses: Summon the boss where you are supposed to summon it, then transport to your desired arena spawnpoint with your Magic Mirroe BEFORE the message at the bottom left corner of your screen saying the boss was summoned goes away.)

So I fought enraged Expert Mode Plantera on the beach. I honestly can't remember if I actually won that fight but most of it was me zipping around on my "Cute Fishron" mount and letting my Stardust Dragon minion do most of the work, every once in a while getting up close and using my Vampire Knives for extra health. At one point that thing had managed to latch onto a floating island with one of its tendrils and corner me. It was a lot of fun.

Well,I used Megashark with chlorophyte bullets,I once thought crystal bullets were good for this,it didn't take me long to swap to chlorophyte bullets

Anyways,my main weapon was the Magical Harp,I didn't make my arena but I made a path enough for Plantera to fit in it.With walls,a cramp place for the Magical Harp to bounce its notes, and a few buff pots.I finally defeat Plantera

With this strategy,I realised that I didn't equip a Destroyer Emblem the whole time,it was in my vanity,I also imbued meelee weapons with Cursed Flames but forgot to hit Plantera with my yo-yo..But,I managed to beat Plantera first time without dying to it.I also dropped to like 50 HP once while fighting it

Normal: Piece of cake. Titanium Repeater + Turtle Armor will work fine.

Expert: Get Legendary Fetid Baghnaks or go home

The first time was a pain, even Eye of Chutulu was a pain the first time.
