Its top 10 best selling all time, what constitutes a game being indie?

i think it has to do with the amount of budget or workers used to produce the game

it does not have to do with the success of the game/games in my opinion

Terraria had absolutely no backing from any large well known company/publisher, indie is also short for "independent".
