Rusty: Few beginner master GET FIXED BOI questions

I took like 5 year terraria break, so i wanted to make a fresh new run with melee class & cool labor of love new update.

Special seed: Journey master mode GET FIXED BOI

To ask List:

1. Is fishing bugged now? I seem not to be able to find specific quest fish:
   
2. I made a surface mushroom biome, also the mushroom music is playing, but for some reason i can't fish the amanita surface mushroom fish
   
3. I made a deep "forest" lake in the cavern & underground layers, but for some reason i find there ocean loot, even though its near middle of the map of the hellevator. I tried find there cavern fish like the Demonic hellfish
   
4. Speaking of the demonic hellfish can it maybe be faster fished in underworld lava? Since wiki says it can be fished also in underworld?

5. Pls don't spoil too much: Is shimmer a hardmode theme? Or is it possible to find this new liquid also in prehardmode?
   
6. For some reason i can't find wooden chests, i need the wooden boomerang: How do i find this?
   
7. Why do i suddenly fish shrimps and ocean related stuff in the middle of the underground area? Is it a fake forest biome? It is near the mossy stone biome ....

I bet i already died like 100 times lmao.

Worlds are guaranteed to have snow biomes, on the opposite side of where your jungle is.

Are there like milestones for bosses for preparation?

Lets say recommended for corruptor: have xx armor , xx life and dps weapon Y ?

Can someone recommend this stuff for the early bosses like queen, slimey , wof , slimey etc?

maybe he wants the snow biome as close as possible to where he spawned

this depends so much on your skill relative to the world difficulty. For example I think just having the slime mount from king slime makes the EoW fight almost trivial. Armor and weapon doesn't matter much and I rarely have armor other than from accessory prefixes when I fight him. Obviously a weapon with piercing will make it even easier but it's not a timed fight so really anything works.

In general just upgrade your gear until you can defeat the boss. If you don't know if you can defeat it with your current gear you should try it.

Something to note about Snow Flinx spawns, they have a very low spawn chance on snow and ice blocks, so find/make an open area underground and place basically any blocks other than the aforementioned snow and ice on the floor and they'll spawn much more frequently.

Well currently i started a medium world but on max master difficulty.

First day was terrible i bet i died like 300 times and especially golem invasions can stall you in ur main base, omg.

But now day 2 i already killed eye of chutulu and the corruptor worm, so a little proud, but yeah dying is super fast XD

Also i got mediumcore so obs i have to loot my gear everytime ....

Currently i try find king slime, queen bee later and ofc that new deer boss, but i feel i might not be prepared?`

I gotten myself the molten bow and molten imp staff from hell, imps seem decent damage right?

If you have already beaten the Eye of Cthulhu and Eater of Worlds with no issue, you should be more than ready to defeat King Slime. As for Queen Bee, all you really need for the fight is a good weapon and decent enough mobility accessories, although if you think you're gonna struggle with it, it may be a good idea to collect the bezoar from hornets in the underground jungle for poison immunity. You can also take advantage of the honey you can find near hives for a good source of life regeneration.
The newest boss, Deerclops, honestly isn't that bad compared to some other bosses in pre-hardmode. The key to the fight is good positioning so you don't get screwed over by some of his less predictable attacks, such as his shadow hand swarm. Something to also keep in mind for him if you're in a tense situation is that you can run beneath his legs without taking damage, which is a big help during some moments in the fight.

Some general tips for all of said fights:
- Be sure you have your health pool maxed out (400 life).
- If you're going to be using a bow, the best armor for your stage in the game is Fossil Armor, which can be made from fossils collected from the underground desert, however if you feel you need more survivability, Molten Armor is the best option.
- If you feel you're taking too much damage during a fight, it may be a good idea to use the Worm Scarf dropped by the Eater of Worlds. 17% damage reduction is no joke.

The Eastern Sea tastes good.

[Hedning]

Queen bee is the hardest pre-hardmode boss, especially if you fight her in the hive, harder than wall of flesh. I often do not take her on until hardmode for the leaf wings.
