Rusty: Few beginner master GET FIXED BOI questions

I took like 5 year terraria break, so i wanted to make a fresh new run with melee class & cool labor of love new update.

Special seed: Journey master mode GET FIXED BOI

To ask List:

1. Is fishing bugged now? I seem not to be able to find specific quest fish:
   
2. I made a surface mushroom biome, also the mushroom music is playing, but for some reason i can't fish the amanita surface mushroom fish
   
3. I made a deep "forest" lake in the cavern & underground layers, but for some reason i find there ocean loot, even though its near middle of the map of the hellevator. I tried find there cavern fish like the Demonic hellfish
   
4. Speaking of the demonic hellfish can it maybe be faster fished in underworld lava? Since wiki says it can be fished also in underworld?

5. Pls don't spoil too much: Is shimmer a hardmode theme? Or is it possible to find this new liquid also in prehardmode?
   
6. For some reason i can't find wooden chests, i need the wooden boomerang: How do i find this?
   
7. Why do i suddenly fish shrimps and ocean related stuff in the middle of the underground area? Is it a fake forest biome? It is near the mossy stone biome ....

I bet i already died like 100 times lmao.

I will update this thread with further "GETFIXEDBOI" questions.

You still can, you just need to beat the Wall of Flesh, wait for a Blood Moon, and then talk to the dryad, she will sell seeds that grow grass of the opposite world evil. All you need to do then is plant them and wait for them to spread into an artificial Crimson biome, gather the materials for a bloody spine, and then you're free to fight Brain of Cthulhu.

Is it just me or do the drop chances suck in FTW worlds? I got now already 3 successful pirate invasions and they dont drop anything. No discount card or lucky coin or anything. Even though i managed to kill few captains and flying dutchmen. Also no black spot ;_;

no they are the same to any difficulty you choose, its just bad luck

What about fishing and mixed biomes? For example can i fish Frozen crates in a hallowed ice biome? Likewise can i fish Desert crates in a corrupt desert biome?

The wiki just talks about either "snow" or "desert", but technically u can have duo biomes right?

PS :why is my dryad not selling purifying seeds? She only has normal grass seed :c :c

How am i supposed to clear the world of corruption without stuff? Achievement seem hard ....

I don't know what "purifying seed" is? Normal seeds is the pure seed, but purity is the one that is converted, not the one taking over. What you want is purification powder. It will convert ground to purity. The other seeds such as corrupt and crimson seeds are sold if she's in a graveyard (in hardmode).

Clearing the world of corruption should not be attempted before access to the clentaminator. That's the steampunker npc and not the dryad.

when you get the chance you should try to get evil biome loot as fast or get a decent weapon, and you can and move your base to the underground forest. making a surfaceavator helps too, but it will take awhile. fishing can also help if you don't want to spend a long time dying and exploring, but that requires a lake in the underground forest biome and a good amount of bait. also, the surface is very dangerous and the spawn rate is huge there so you'll just have to dig right under the surface until you get good gear to fight all of the enemies off.
i also recommend playing with some people as it will help make things a bit quicker

Do people actually read the main thread ?! Someone gives as a tip to survive by fishing. But my main thread talks about my PROBLEMS with fishing. Why can't i get certain fish in certain areas.

For example i got underground forest, but for some reason i fish there ocean fish and can't get quest fish like bat fish, demonic fish etc.

And yes i want purifciation powder. But the DRYAD is not selling the powder. I ask why ? Is dryad bugged? IK that steampunker sells clemntamisomething, but that was no question at all ......

I maybe try to cleanes corruption before hardmode, since i fear the spread from WoF kill + demon altar spread will go haywire ....

Anyhelp on that?

People who has already replied to this topic will get sent to the new replies and not notice if you edited your original post. Best is if you ask the new questions as a reply in addition to editing the first post.

I myself has no experience with the new seed, so I can't help you there. I know it messes around with the biomes so it is very possible that you won't get the fish you expect.

Same with Dryad, she could have her inventory changed, maybe she is set to consider it always blood moon for example (don't know, pure guess). If I were you I would consider anything strange as part of the seed rather than a bug. It is a very messy seed, intentionally so.

I have not done that. There will be corrupt grass blocks imbedded in the dirt, so unless you plan on bombing all the dirt around the biome that is still a big task. Also bombs will definitely be quicker than purifying it. Only purify the blocks beneath the altars.

Still where can i find the purification powder ? My dryad is still not selling it so what is wrong? Something weird with this seed ?

The dryad does not sell purification powder in either Dont Dig Up and Zenith.

yes, it is intentional. If I know right, The Steampunker also doesnt sell the clentaminator. So you have to deal with the evil surface layer yes or yes in those biomes, or you can just blow it up

What potion do you guys prefer / recommend in prehardmode against though bosses like Queen bee or Skeletron: Pink restoration potion for the lowered cooldown or the Honeyfin for the higher 120 heals?

I still have difficulty to first kill Queen bee, she seems so OP with the higher enrage and crazy contact damage x_x
