So i believe torch luck doesnt help at all to speed up the process to get a rod of discord in the hallow? I'm not sure how rare chaos elementals are to begin with. But it seems the mobs spawns down there are pretty random.
So i guess if you say where farming biome mimics for like Daedalus stormbow, torch luck could potentially speed up the process of spawning a mimic, since i believe they are rareish?
To clarify torch luck has no effect on the quality of drops right? They can't upgrade common drops like coins or gel to rare drops like slime staff or rod of discord ?
So most of the time torch luck can help to trigger free events like pirate invasion or let rarer mobs like sniper bones or maybe ice turtles in ice underground spawn?
@Hedning i watched an impressiv sub 4 hour speedrun on master mode. And that player had impressive dodge skills, but also used dodge gear like master ninja, brain of cthulhu and shield of cuthulhu to fast dodge out of harms way.
Also the wiki taked about brain of cthulhu of having hidden crit damage chance and might be considered superior to the worm scarf, because of this.
As i understood it's better to 100% reduce damage or no hit run on master mode than to get hit and just %% reduce damage? Also hallowed armor seems pretty powerful with the invincible set bonus :D
You have a health pool even on master, even on master + ftw. You don't have to do no hit runs. No hit is only required on daytime empress and obviously in that specific fight worm scarf is useless.
The hallowed armor is great because its dodge is based on time rather than randomness. That is a lot more powerful than both the brain and scarf.
You may be confusing it with defense. 17 defense doesn't do much against high damage attacks. As a side note this is why defense gets buffed on the higher difficulties, from only reducing 50% of defense rating on classic to 100% on master. The fact that defense is less useful on higher difficulties means damage reduction from eg the scarf is even better.
In master + ftw there are quite a few things that one-shot you even if you have some armor, but the scarf can take you out of this one shot range.
Also the fact that in any situation you take fewer hits in master+ftw means the opportunities for the brain to trigger are fewer, so the likelihood that it won't do anything before you are dead increases. The scarf always triggers and is thus always useful. To kill a player in classic you would have to take a lot of hits, and thus the brain is pretty much guaranteed to trigger multiple times, making it better.
Is the NPC AI bugged or something? Why they like to stand on EXACT same spot? It really gets annoying lol
I kinda like tinkering with arenas, i feel it's the unique selling point of terraria lol ....
I made an automatic minecart farm for duke fishron on top of ocean, quite happy with the design. It kinda felt easy to build?
But with Empress and moonlord my designs kinda fail. Anyone tried this out?
Maybe the Empress is dodging to errating or her bullet hell is not well suited to dodge with a more stiffy minecart? Just not sure,
Maybe i think with jump slopes it would be easier to dodge the deathray or actually is it even possible to dodge deathray of moonlord or you need to HAVE circular dodge with wing / mounts?
