usually plays expert mode
some use mods
usually can be found in the forums either being a helping hand to the newer players or being a massibe f**khead
usually has something to do with terraria in their profile (profile image, background etc etc)

the elitest: 2000+ hours
obsessed with pvp
judges people based on the fact that they don't play exactly like them
will regularly ruin other people's expirience in the forums and ingame.
usually ranger mains
the makers of sashcore

the builder: 700+ hours
has beaten the game in expert a couple times
has 3 copies of builders workshop
build quality ranges from rainbow painted turds to mordor's gates

the modders
only play with mods
uses language that people who are not a modder will not understand
fills the forums with "mod playthrough" posts

Just leave the players you call "unskilled" have fun the way they want! without cursing or spreading negativity. They just like playing the game that way, the same way you like to play like sash!

Again, i seen that people are not hatting sash around here, they are hating YOU for being so stubborn and annoying. They may even want to try increasing the dificult, but when i see you around the forums saying "hardcore its the only real way to play the game" or "softcore has indeed bred out lots of unskilled and delusional players" and Etc, i just get repeled from playing hardcore. cuz i dont want to end like you. Try to regain control over yourself again and see how much of an mad cultist for hardcore sash you are being

well no actually people have hated him way before i entered the steam forums. and neither do i hate anyone. if i hated all softcores i would not offer advice or any sort of help. i would just slay them. and how long have you been here? sash is barely active so all the rookies have ganged up on me. which is natural. they always need a punching bag.

I feel that you just forgot why people play games at all... aparently terraria turned into some sort of workplace where all that matters is skill.

people play games to have fun and not to be deeply frustrated about losing a character with lots of hours spent in it.
Example! I come from home, exausted and just want to have fun and forget about the work and enjoy myself for a while on my bit of free time before going to sleep, i boot terraria and find myself getting frustrated and not having fun at all, i would have just stoped playing terraria forever or killing myself.

instead i could boot another game which i do not get over frustrated or annoyed just have to count every step i make because i could die in a moment on a false step.
While on softcore, i can play without fearing anything from just destroying everything i got and actually enjoy my time.
Everything its okay, until a brat comes by and just tells everyone they suck because they are not skilled like him or this guy that its good into this game. "Oh, he is good at this game i should just treat him like a god that its better than everything in my life"

I win absolutely nothing by playing this game hardcore. i preffer going for a no death run on dark souls 2 its much more worth and a game which its hard naturally and i dont need to make my own obstacles

excuse me im not an elitist. an elitist is someone who feels they are superior to someone else. as far as it goes i see us as all equal. yet just because we are both of equal merit, that does not mean or define equal ability or skill.


in most games you need to play 2000 hours just to get a basic understanding of the mechanics. take hon lol or dota or starcraft or any decent game for example..
