feather fall potion

why does no one use the featherfalling potion? its probably the most overlooked potion despite how powerful it can be. with just a hook and a good arena and a bit of skill with it you can beat master mode bosses as easily as having hermes boots and a cloud oreven spector boots and a cloud. people find them and leave them in chests or straight up trash them. does anyone else have a good example of something completly overlooked like this cus i dont want to be missing out on something that could be like featherfalling (hold up with featherfalling for full effect)

Problem with featherfalling is it make you very vulnerable while in the air, especially against bosses (especially those who keep fire attacks at you). At most, the potion is more used while exploring new caves, and even then, there are better options (like lucky horseshoe).

I just found an umbrella in a first chest in my new master world, since then i never looked back. I don't see a use in feather falling. And in my current run i only died ONCE by fall damage :3

Also when u find the goblin tinkerer and can combine rocket boots with spectre boots feather fall gets even more redudant. Cause just before hitting on ground you can safe from fall with tiny rocket boost :D

first off practice would be the best for this but secondly there are good ways to cheese destroyer and twins but you will have to do skeletron yourself. look up the ways to cheese destroyer and move on with the gear from that and if your still struggling friend me and ill help in person

this is only true is you dont know how to use it. if you hold up it makes you jump way higher and fall much slower, holding nothing is a more controlled fall which can help in certain situations for aiming and holding down you have full fall speed but you dont take fall damage. its simply better than anything else you can get that early in the game

the point of featherfall is to use the up and down to control fall speed and dodge during bosses. if your worried about fall damage than your probably not good enough to use featherfall to its full potential. the point is to use it during bosses to be able to attack also unlike the umbrella. it can also be one of the fastest ways across the map if you combine it with 50-100 rails you can get to either side of a large world without a problem. umbrella works for this too but there is no guarenty you get it and you cant use a weapon with it.

every good player knows how to use it and i just think it would make newer players better and have more fun

I just use the gravitation potion. Similar effect, except it takes less micro to get all the speed you need. Extremely useful for doing early bosses in master mode when you don't have movement accessories yet. You can even rush Wall of Flesh without any arena or setup whatsoever.
