No Projectiles For True Night's Edge & True Excalibur??

Where did you get that information from? The wiki says nothing about those two weapons in Upcoming Features. Additionally those two would have their projectiles nerfed because they're ranged melee weapons most players only use for the sword beams; and currently they feel too powerful for pre-Plantera weapons (especially True Night's Edge). If you don't want to use 1.4.4 when it arrives (ignoring all of the other buffs to melee weapons it adds, as well as quality of life changes) because of two weapons which are quite unbalanced and boring to use (fly around boss, use sword beams, done) being nerfed, maybe try to rely less heavily on such weapons. I'm guessing you also hated Daedalus Stormbow being nerfed.

Sine you obviously haven't been keeping up with the devlogs on twitter, it has been recently revealed that True Night's Edge and True Excalibur are being reworked. Usually they fire a projectile on swing, but in said rework they are having their projectiles completely removed i n favour of being changed to true melee. IMHO this is utterly unnecessary and is why I wil be avoiding 1.4.4

bro nobody even uses the true night's edge or excalibur anyways, why does it matter, besides the new versions of 'em look cool as hell, i'll definitely be using those two more often when the update comes out

i don't really read twitter or use the true nights edge, but i do use the true excalibur for some boss fights and the projectile getting removed sucks. True excalibur is better for it's projectile's speed and now that's it getting nerfed is just annoying. That's not an QoL. Hopefully somebody makes a mod when 1.4.4 tmod comes out that adds it back.

Well to be fair, for as "Legendary" the true swords were supposed to be, they were very uninspired and boring, with many other items doing very similar things, requiring less grind to get, too. The Chlorophyte Swords and the Death Sickle both fill the same role of "Post-Mechs sword with medium-range projectile" that the true swords currently have, and they are not being altered to my knowledge. So once 1.4.4 arrives, the True Night's Edge and Excalibur will have their own unique uses and strengths, and if you want to continue using a weapon with a similar niche, there are still options. And there is not nearly enough information available to know whether or not these changes are going to be a nerf. all we have is a GIF and an image, none of which display the swords' actual stats, and even if that's not lacking enough, the update isn't even out yet, which means that these weapons' attributes are still subject to change. I would wait until the update is actually here before making such bold claims.

Ok but chlorophyte weapons suck (besides the shotbow slightly) the projectiles they create arent even good, and also death sickle has a very very limited ranged. yes, i know the weapons will still likely change. however, i am still mad at the devs for making this dumb change

Ok some of your other points make sense but I heavily disagree with this change being dumb. The new True Swords look amazing both visually and (at the very least in the True Night's Edge's case) mechanically. It also gives the true melee subclass more arsenal, so I'm not complaining.

They didn't change the sprites, however the visual effects the swords emit are what I am referring to. If you want to see them yourself, they can be seen here.[terraria.wiki.gg]
