how to get into the abyss on calamity?

i have late pre-hardmode gear, and im wondering how to get i get to the abyss like i dont know how to get down there without dying because of the sulphur sea

make sure you have gills, maybe the ocean crest from desert scourge might help

I'd reccomend Victide Armor (any type) for water movement speed, the Arctic Diving Gear, and gills potions.

things to cross off your list:
-desert scourge amulet
-abysal diving Gear or arctic diving gear
-or as a bare minimum: gills potion and standard diving gear may do it
