Cannot find bound mechanic

I've spent 4 hours searching the dungeon, but yet I cannot find the mechanic. Is it supposed to be this rare? Is there something wrong with my game? Or is my luck just insanely bad?

Have you got all requirements needed? Maybe the Mechanic has special requirements... Check the Terraria Wiki maybe.

Thank you but I don't really think another player will really help the spawn rate.

I've checked it, I just have to beat skeletron and explore the dungeon, both of which I did.

RNG is not on your side!!! I encounter the mechanic everyrtime I enter the dungeon (Skeletron defeated of course)
Try using battle potion & water candle, hope that help.

Hunter potion also would help: she'll show up as green.

The mechanic might have spawned in the caves where dungeon structures have cut through.
