Hotbar Automatic Switching

-Hotbar automatically switching to set hotbar slot upon left click with another slot selected

*Detailed explanation:
I've recently come across a problem, in which my hotbar automatically switches to a select slot after using an item (by left-clicking) in any other hotbar slot. I hear a rapid clicking noise that is similar to the sound of rapid scrolling, and if I left click using an item in the slot that is switched to, I hear a single click. If a placeable item stack is in the slot it automatically switches to, one of the items is deleted. I didn't post this in Terraria bugs, because I doubt this has something to do with Terraria and I think the problem lies in my computer. I am using TModLoader with the magic storage mod, however, this happened in the vanilla version to (TModLoader was installed when I played the vanilla version). I have already tried reinstalling, restarting my computer, and deleting the input config files. Reinstalling and deleting the input config files fixes it for a little, however, it always ends up coming back. It seems to pick a slot that contains the block i'm looking at, magic mirror if the previous doesn't apply, and I don't move from spawn, or the 6th slot if neither of those happen.

(From a reply by me) I reinstalled again, and have confirmed it only starts after TModLoader is installed. Any idea on how I could fix this (while keeping TModLoader)? I doubt it is in the savegame folders, as both vanilla and modded have this glitch after TModLoader is installed. It seems to only occur with the newest version of TModLoader, as I tried installing a previous version and the glitch did not occur, however, I cannot use the mods I would like in that version.

Any idea on how to fix it? I just checked and I have no macros on it and I have no idea what else it could be.

Another thing, it seems to break every time I alt+tab and open TEdit (it has broken without me opening TEdit), and restarting the game fixes it temporarily.

It's sometimes tools, sometimes a magic mirror, once was an empty slot, and yes sometimes light sources.

Well, when it happens to me, i usually target a block while holding down the shift key and then scroll with the mouse wheel. at least that's what i do.

Does no-one know how to fix this? I ended up corrupting (or something like that) our world and lost all of our items in our magic storage system so we have to start over again. On top of that, I had it working correctly for about 10 minutes, and now it's back again. Yeah, I got it back to getting fixed when I restart somehow, however, I havn't played the game in a while. Both me and the friend I play with havn't felt like playing recently.

do you have chrome or discord open? I have this same problem but if i close chrome and discord on my second monitor before opening terraria, it seems to stop. but then if i open it while terraria is running, it get the hotbar glitch. I uninstalled tmod but still having this problem :/

I am getting this same problem suddenly, however, I do not have TModLoader. My computer crashed, died. So I put steam on my wife's laptop, installed terraria. But from the start no matter which item is selected, I either place a torch on the ground, or throw a glowstick. Cursor placement is only relevant if on the ground, or in the air (a torch or glowstick appears). I cannot even fight, dig, chop a tree, etc. Death is guaranteed.

No other files/programs open (nothing even on this computer). Tried uninstalling/installing, nothing works. Moved a character to the cloud, put it on my son's laptop. Worked fine. But not my wife's. Seriously stumped. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I have this problem now and it's making the game unplayable.
A few minutes in an it will continually jump to the last slot in the hotbar.

Edit: Actually its combat based and will skip to the slot to the left if I double click a weapon, doesn't do it if I'm holding a non-weapon.
It's really making me slow my combat down!
Any help gratefully received.

Also got this bug, tried resetting keybinds to defaults, tried different mice, tried reinstalling the game, even tried on a different computer. I have no mods installed, I have no idea what is causing this and its making the game completely unplayable.

I am also having this problem, I am losing my mind. All I want to do his play this game but I cant because it is too annoying having my hotbar always switch once I use something. Has anyone figured out a fix yet?
