Not a lot of people like it for some reason and can be used pretty well till ya kill Golem :) If you stack it with the StingerNecklace that is a lot of ArmorPen.
Everyone plays differently. But if you want some serious dmg go BladeStaff :)
From my first playthrough before they made it so that just the Queen slime drops the blade staff (originally also dropped from enchanted swords), it got me through the mechanical bosses pretty easily. That was awhile ago though so how far it can get you isnt in recent memory,
Because its easier to get doesnt mean its not better. SanguineStaff has a much better drop rate then BladeStaff. So really the BladeStaff is harder to get with it having only a 25%/33%/33% drop rates compared to SanguinStaff's 50%/100%/100%.
People can fight Dread before SlimeQueen pretty easy so ether can be obtained before the other XD
To each is their own.
Sanguine Staff is Hardmode only too.
