that is surprisingly competent for what appears to be a meme account.
you have surprised me.
the response to the poster is a simple "aight."
1. Unlimited Potions: You should work your way through obtaining various potions and not have a unlimited supply of potions like that.
2. Infinite Ammo/Potions: While regular arrows alone can be used inf. through the Endless Quiver this is not the case for special arrows such as: Luminite Arrows/Bullets and some hard to get post ML ammo (if playing on Calamity). They will run out soon and that would be annoying, and you have to grind. While infinite arrows may be saving time it feels like cheating the way the game is supposed to be played.
3. Combo Rod: This is one of the items that makes the mod be disliked in my eyes. Unlimited wires. Unlimited Water/Sponge.
4. Unlimited Auto-Build: This is in my opinion the worst thing about the mod. Auto Hellevator, Asphalt, Jungle Solutions. Basically, everything mentioned in the mod info is bad imo.
5. Travelling Merchant and Skeleton Merchant are Town NPCs: Cheap trick. No grinding involved.
6. Mobile Merchant: Cheap trick for unlimited ropes when needed.
7. Unlimited Events: Skips the whole grinding part of enabling the Events yourself. Can summon the Frost Moon/Pumpking Moon at the start of the game.
8. Unlimited/Random Items: Everything mentioned in the mod info is wrong in my eyes.
Conclusion: While some of the things this mod does are useful, it takes away the fun part of the game. The fun part of collecting ores, grinding powerful weapons for minutes, sometimes even hours and watch the bosses meltdown and you think to yourself: "Man, this was really worth the time." It also takes away the time to make some of the things in game like fishing pools. When you do it manually this pays off more than when you do it through Luiafk. And that's why i think that "Luiafk" is "for noobs".
I only use it when i have a ton of other mods for difficulty.
it does have some redeeming qualities tho, the inf ammo part you have to make 4 stacks of the ammo type to get
the auto fishing needs a lot of cobwebs to make since you need 7 "fishing nets" which take 25 silk each, aka you need 1225 cobwebs to make a single fish harvester
the "infinite event summons" need 10 of the original summon to make
the infinite potions need 30 of whatever potion you're making
so it doesn't really take all the grinding out, it's kinda just a quality of life mod
i don't like grinding too, but if I farm something for a long time and then use the items I got during the farming and am successful it means that the long period was worth
besides, isn't the game about grinding powerful stuff? Even large terraria mods have some farm factor in it, take for instance Calamity and Kelvin Cataclyst or Apotheosis. They require you to beat their respective bosses (Cryogen and DoG) several times over and over again, which is a tiresome and lengthy process, especially if you're playing on Revengance, Death Mode or Hardcore. But when you get the weapons they absolutely obliterate everything.
Or when you fish for abyssal accessories to craft the Diving Suit, surely yeah it took a hella long time, but you can finally traverse the Abyss without much trouble
and looking at your steam profile rn it doesn't look like you have a life either so why judge me about wasting "my pointless life" that is certainly not pointless, cuz I have my goals set for the future
and no i do not see myself as a chad by doing something over and over again and im not trying to convey that not true statement to other people by saying "taking away grinding in video games is bad", im just saying that we shouldn't take away something one of the game's traits just because it wastes time
I haven't used anything in the mod, except for the infinite potions, the mod was mostly used by my friend, and even he admits that some of the things in the mod are just straight up unbalanced, (and he told me to not craft the infinite potions in the next playthrough). He still uses some of the features, like the instant npc jail. Now that I think about it, i think that a good idea would be to have the npc jail builder consume a number of block that the jail is made of (like idk, 50 or 70), don't get me wrong I hate building "living pods" too, but you could just build them straight away from the start (correct me if I'm wrong)
