Terraria 1.3.3.3 - Slime Rain Never Appears

I am playing Terraria and I want the Slime Rain to occur.
I have 280 health and about 20 defense.
Even though my character meets the criteria for the Slime Rain event, it has been over 10 game (not real) days and no Slime Rain has ever occurred.

Any ideas?

that is the thing about RNG, you could have a 99% chance for something to happen and keep getting that 1% of nothing forever.

unless there is an achieve for it you can just get the king slime by makin' the slime crown (gold , ruby and slime at a corrupted altar)

the chance of a slime rain to occur is about a 5% chance in prehardmode per day, and a 3.3% chance in hardmode per day. If king slime hasnt been killed yet, the chances are doubled. It's about a 9 to 10% chance every Terraria Day. If you need to kill king slime, just make the crown and spawn him.

This is only true for spawning King Slime. To spawn Slime Rain, it's possible of starting no matter where you are.

slime rains are rare
so dont focus on them, if it happens, then do what you need to

just make a slime crown craft a gold crown with 5 gold and 1 ruby then take the gold crown and get 20 gel and craft it by a demon alter and you will get a slime crown which sumons a king slime

Slime rains are:
1) Insanely rare
2) Full of really rubbish enemies
3) have a useless boss - climb up a rope & throw grenades
4) generally a nuisance

Slime rains are:
1) Insanely rare.
2) Full of enemies that drop an incredibly useful material early on.
3) Have a boss that drops some decent early game armor, hook, and mount.
4) Generally a good thing to have happen at the start of a new adventure.
5) Easy to beat later on, so it doesn't even bother anybody.

He can spawn randomly if you are in the two outer thirds, yes. You can still spawn him with the spawning item in the middle though and slime rain can happen anywhere, the outer sides are only if you want him to spawn naturally.
