Sanguine Staff, Optic Staff, Blade Staff and Deadly Sphere Staff

So, I have all of these staves but, I don't know which one of them is the best. In my experience, Optic Staff and Deadly Sphere are so slow and sometimes got stuck in blocks. For now, I stick on sanguine staff because of the speed and knockback, combined with cool whip and magnet sphere. I have morning star but, I find it very slow. Also, is it worth getting raven staff? I need your opinions, thank you.

raven staff is good xeno staff is good and sanguine staff is good i think that xeno staff is good but until xeno staff get raven staff and you should be set morning star or if your gonna get raven staff you should also get dark harvest and a necromatic scroll

so use sanguine staff to get raven staff and use raven staff to get xeno staff

Most of the summon weapons in this game are pretty bad because the AI and targeting are extremely stupid.

Sanguine Staff doesn't have the same max DPS as something like Deadly Sphere but it's extremely consistent and doesn't require you to hit your minions with a 2x4 in order to make them attack something. Raven Staff I found to be quite good as well, good damage like Deadly Sphere but not nearly as slow or stupid.

Xeno Staff is a great weapon as well.

Blade Staff is alright but it's hard to get and it can run into major issues against enemies with high defense. Ichor debuffs help but they are not available on Corruption worlds.

Honestly I'd use both. Cool Whip is mostly just about spawning the snowflake minion which is a nice damage boost but it can sometimes struggle with moving targets. Morning Star is a good melee-like weapon with high damage and massive knockback, plus a small bonus to minion damage. Since they both have different uses, I recommend both.

I got raven staff yesterday, and you're right, it's much better than deadly staff. However, with the right accessories, modifiers, and sanguine staff, I find it easier to survive in the dungeon due to its insane knockback. As for raven, it's good for bosses. Now I use this combination magnet sphere, morning star, cool whip, frost hydra, and raven or sanguine depending on the situation, thank you!

@Evil, I just got Tempest Staff and, to my surprise, it's better than raven now. In 1.4, its speed and mobility has increased much, even though its attack is lower than raven, the increased mobility and the ability to move through blocks outclasses raven.

Yeah it can be altered on a whim and I change it to whatever unfunny thing I'm thinking of when playing cs.

Of note: The Morning Star is one of 2 whips that allows your summons to critical hit (boosting DPS). Mine also hits for upwards of 350 damage and deletes most mobs.
