However, if your trying to tank your way through on expert or master mode, you need to understand that tanking on those modes is difficult on expert and impossible on master.
You have to learn how to be good at dodging and creating arenas to conquer expert and master (most importantly dodging)
The Wiki page online is a lifesaver for anything that is Terraria :) Ive learned too much from the Wiki and still learning. Ive also forgot things that its reminded me about Haha

When the shield goes down - which you now have a nice healthbar for - stay far, far, out of range and grab any decent gun and any ammo. Gun projectiles aren't affected by gravity and take ages to despawn, and the pillars never despawn, so you can stand miles away and snipe the pillars out of existence. Use a DPS meter to tell if you're hitting them or not.
Slow, yes. But reasonably safe and reasonably satisfying.
