Another way to put it is I do not want terraria to pause when the window loses focus.
Auto pause is for when you go into your inventory- if it's on then the game pauses during that time.
Not sure what you mean by “I do not want terraria to pause when the window loses focus”. What do you mean by “the window loses focus”?
Most games will pause if you alt tab or switch focus, including this one. Most games also have an option to turn that off- usually "pause when focus lost". Terraria.. doesn't, as far as I see.
Can’t say I know of any way to make it work with alt+tab, a lot of older games pause when alt tabbing, which might have to do with limitations of older game engines. I’m no professional though, so that’s my best guess.
Pretty sure the only answer is "play alone in multiplayer" but a guy can dream.
It seems like for whatever reason the devs explicitly *do not* want the game to run when it doesn't have focus. They patched out ways to do it a handful of times. Whack.
