Trying to make a Wavebank and XACT is suddenly not working.
Hey everyone,
I've made plenty of Wavebanks, but suddenly when using XACT, I keep getting a no memory error right before it gets built.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!

You should look up how to make a resource pack instead. It is more reliable than making a wavebank though this method also still works to an extent. The only thing that changed with 1.4 is needing to flip another switch in XACT, but I've never had a memory-related error before. I also can't recall what the extra tweak was but it's probably mentioned on the Terraria forums somewhere.

Use the following guide for making a resource pack:

You can also extract an existing music replacer resource pack from the workshop if you want a head start, using {LINK REMOVED}

Thank you so much! I'm really not sure what the out of memory resources message could mean when building. I'll try the resource pack method and see if I have better luck. Quick question, if I make a resource pack, do I have to add in replacement tracks for all of the 1.4 tracks as well even if I'm just planning on using it for Tmodloader? Thanks again.

If you are planning on using a resource pack on Tmodloader then that is not going to work, because Tmodloader does not support 1.4+ yet, where resource packs are introduced and handled. Resource packs are just lightweight "mods" that only make aesthetic, sounding or localization changes more or less.

If you plan on having custom vanilla music for Tmodloader in its current state on the other hand then you obviously specifically need to use wavebanks and there is no other option to my knowledge. Fortunately, I found the extra tweak that I mentioned previously:
Combine that guide with the quick forum fix for 1.4 above it and you should be good to go.

Thanks man.
I'll try to remake the current Wavebank that I have that is giving me the memory issue and see what happens. I appreciate the links! Going to try and follow them a bit more and see where it gets me.
