And you expect them to play the game on hardcore.
Bruh. Wrong game.
Point is: If you're new, this will just hinder, halt, or slow the learning process, but if you're experienced, this may actually help.
I personally still play on softcore for a different reason. It's stressful to have to worry about survival. Sure it may be not that hard, but it means I can't just relax, mess around, and have fun, because if I die to some geyser I put at spawn in my friends world, I loose my character. Same goes for him. (Although my friend is new and the first point does kinda apply)
you're downplaying the difficulty and not everyone has all the time in the world to beat and try to find out the whats the best way to survive, there's no way I believe you that when you played through master mode the first few times you didn't find it a bit irritating. But I love the game for that it can kick my ass and then eventually it becomes my turn to push the game back
i didnt find it irritating, i found it easy and i made quick work of it.
im not downplaying ♥♥♥♥. the reason i was able to beat it so easily was because i was already a hardcore player. so maybe you guys should try to play some permadeath for once and maybe you'll start to improve...
