The only game I've played containing combat, resources gathering and inventory/chests management togheter with a destructible/buildable world is "Forager". The only problem with this game is that advanced ingame, you feel like the first hard earned resources are nothing compared on how much you get lately and combat isn't hard or variated as Terraria. Obviously this game is nothing like Terraria, but for me is close to the type of game you're looking.

Forager is more resource management and light idle game.

Tho a bit of a stretch but you might like Don't Starve Together
https://store.steampowered.com/app/322330/Dont_Starve_Together/
It's not as similar as other examples but still has the key elements , crafting , base building , has quite few boss fights , sandbox , can be played both solo or with others.

Plus it's a pretty fun game and is certainly not lacking in content and is still being updated with new stuff and features.

Plus it has quite few fun mods and good modding support.

However keep in mind that game is far from being easy but it lets you tweak a lot of world event , mob and generation options to your advantege before you start a world.

You could try Crea, Realms Of Magic, Spoxel, Dig Or Die, Aground, Signs Of Life, or It Lurks Below, among others. I am too lazy right now to post widgets (though I know how to do it) so look these up in the Steam Store. There may be others I am forgetting.

I will not play or recommend Starbound no matter how popular that game is, due to all the controversy behind it.

EDIT: I nearly forgot Junk Jack. Do try that one. It is so much fun.

why mention ROM or SOL, the devs (both):, will cut your QUEST in half, and change up all the blocks in the ECO system, by the Time You start getting good at It, i'd wait another 14 to 15 years for those Games to be completely finished

You are Right about JunkJack being quite a good Title, and i've never heard of SPOXEL, but boy howdy (dang-o, dang-o)

for a T-CLONE, It must have something going for It, despite it's calamitous nature, and lack of Tutorial

and please just don't get Your Hopes up at all for some silly "Minecraft 2", why not just download a "Reforged Empyrion" MOD

or a Valley Climber MOD, with some ham

Yeah I get that, got sick of Starbound after wasting 500+ hours on it.
