Pylon Help

I want a snow biome pylon but the mechanic won't sell it. I have the tavern keep with the mechanic in the snow/ice biome. The dye trader has a house I put him in but seems to hang around the snow biome village. Am I doing anything wrong?

After 1.4.1, the required happiness to buy a pylon has been increased. You now have to have an npc in a biome that they like, with another npc that they love and with no more than 2 extra npcs around them (including the one they love.) The mechanic and Goblin Tinkerer both love each other so I'd recommend moving them both to the snow or caverns to get those pylons and then leave them together as a pair with no one else around to tget the love bonus, the solitary bonus and one of them the biome bonus to get some good discounts on the pair of npcs that often cost you a lot of gold in late game.

the Dryad and Witchdoctor work fine in the Jungle. the Truffle and the Guide in Mushroom. Golfer and the Furry in the woods. Nurse and Gunsmith in hollow. Fish guy and the Pirat at the beach.... you can also combine them differently just depends on your needs , becareful that at least they life with someone they like
