Go to your documents, "my games," Terraria and then transfer the character file(s) in question to the same directory on another computer.
If you're sharing the same computer, then there shouldn't be an issue since Terraria reads from the same directory no matter what account you're using.
Steamsharing is another nice way to transfer files via steam cloud save. Simply log in with the characters in Steams cloud (there's a button for this on the save file in-game) and then uncheck the option for steam cloud once the files have been downloaded from the cloud. Log out and allow your son to log in and voila. The file should still be there.
Thank you very much - highly appreciated! :-)
