No suitable graphics card found - can't run Terraria

I wanted to play the new update with my friends but was unable due to a message that keeps popping up when I start the game. Its not just terraria that does this though, old games like CS:GO are also not working which is making me think that it is a problem with my graphics card. I play on a laptop with a NVIDIA GTX 1050 integrated. The message that shows up looks like this.

No suitable graphics card found.
could not find Direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework Reach profile.

Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.

Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen mode.

Avoid running under Remote Desktop or as Windows service.

Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.

Have you tried updating the GPU driver yet? I believe a friend of mine had a similar issue once that got resolved once he updated the driver.
