are bows viable late game weapons?

I just got to hard mode and im loving the titanium repeater with hellfire arrows or whatever they are called. I just wanna know if i can expect this for the rest of the game? or do bows get kinda ♥♥♥♥?

They get better. I recommend trying to obtain the Hallowed Repeater and the Magic Quiver, it's the fastest Repeater and ontop of that, the Magic Quiver increases the rate of fire of Bows/repeaters.
Other bows in late game can be obtained, and they become better overtime. The Eventide is dropped by the Emperous of Light. Which does outstanding amount of damage.

any arrow shooting weapon you recommend in the mean time while i work towards hallowed stuff?

There isn't a single type of weapon that gets worse as you progress imo. Try getting the Daedalus Stormbow. There's also plenty of viable arrow weapons even in the end game.

The Marrow is a good bow to get. So is the Shadowflame bow. The Daedalus Stormbow is good for *some* bosses but not for others. And then there is the Phantom Phoenix bow from the second-tier Old One's Army event. If you are post-Plantera then there is the Pulse Bow, the Tsunami, the Eventide, and the Aerial Bane.

You'll want the Magic Quiver or any one of its tinkers, the Archery potion, the Ammo Reservation potion, and the ammo box as well.

The Tsunami, together with Holy Arrows, is a viable option against most (possibly all) Hardmode bosses. I have defeated the Lunatic Cultist with this bow.

The Stormbow that you can obtain from the Hallowed Mimics is extremely useful for boss fights. The Hallowed Mimic can be summoned by using a Key of Light (15 Souls of Light, crafted at a workbench) and an empty chest.
Hell Arrows and Holy arrows I recommend to be the best arrows.

Aim to kill Duke Fishron, when you get the Tsunami (A bow that shoots 5 arrows using 1), pair it with Holy Arrow, those 2 combine make a deadly duo to say the least. They lasted till Moon Lord for me, hell I still use it.

repeaters arent bows.
shadowflame and daedalus (daedalus staying useful thru the whole game) are what you would have in bows only at this point. the only "repeater" worth getting is the chlorophyte shotbow. after that, you should aim for tsunami. holy arrows fot killing duke. there's also the pulse bow, which sends piercing projectile straight ahead in any direction, no arrow physics involved. but it's relatively rare, and i only ever get it in sashcore runs. at pre-ml we have the phantasm, but the tsunami is better than the phantasm before endgame, when using venom arrows (which i would recommend for the final fight)

What about Eventide? Piercing projectiles , rainbow shots do double damage if any other arrows are used than wooden.

No one ever mentions this new bow.
Is it bad or what? On paper it looks pretty powerful.

Idk it just requires to kill her Night time version. IMO Master Empress in night mode is easier than Master Duke Fishron.
