Moonglow not growing

So, I recently found some moonglow in the Jungle biome and decided to grow it. I've seen that you can grow moonglow inside of pots, and I understand that they "bloom" during the night. But, here's the thing. Its been 8 nights already and my moonglow has still not grown a single inch. There is no roofing to stop it from growing and it is potted outside.

Is there any reasoning on why this isn't working?

Same problem, not the first time I'm having this problem too. I think what I did last time was just finding it in the jungle and replanting every seed that did not want to grow.

Creating mud block platforms will definitely help to farm moonglow, life fruit and plantera bulbs so that's my next step
