Shield of Cthulhu or Master Ninja Gear

They both seems similar but Im not sure if I should switch to the Master Ninja Gear since the Shield of Cthulhu does it job a bit better (SoC gives you I-frames when you succesfully hit an enemy but the MNG has a chance to dodge when you touch an enemy) and gives me more armor when equipped.

the question: is it better to use the MNG or the SoC?

oh I didn't know it has a longer dash distance, ok thats good to know

-much longer dash distance
-chance for dodge
-you dont "bounce back" when dashing through enemies which is very helpful when you poorly time your dash while trying to escape a boss.
