How to pause the game?
I can't figure it out :(

you have to have auto pause enabled
then press ESC

Okay, how do I open the options menu? Autopause and ESC doesn't work.

You can open your inventory and hit the 'settings' button at the bottom right corner if nothing else.

open your inventory & youll see a "settings" button in the very bottom right. the settings button will pause the game. if you select auto pause, the game will pause every time you open your inventory, which i dont recommend since its a bit clunky

at first i thought the only way to open the inventory was using the guides "crafting" page which brought it up
then i learned it was esc key
(this was waaaay back when i first started playing)
