Problems summoning Duke Fishron

I'm on hardmode, I'm ready, I've defeated golem but I can't summon it. I'm using fiberglass fishing rod and I have 3 truffle worms in my inventory. Any help is welcome!

All you need todo is at least kill wall of flesh, have at least wooden rod, and be at an ocean.

Be at ocean. Its a 100% chance to summon duke.

make sure youre fishing on water that has no directly blocks above it

The Duke will always spawn if you fish in the Ocean with a Truffle Worm. Make sure that there's no other bait on your inventory.

can confirm, am doing the same thing and can not get the boss to summon. Im in the ocean biome, have a fishing rod, have a truffle worm as my one and only bait, Im in hardmode, I beat the golem many times, and he wont spawn. My only thinking is that maybe the other half of my ocean biome has a hbriad biome that I made to farm money but Im in the one half that is untouched by it

Must have a reinforced rod or better. (Correct me if wrong)
Make sure there is no other bait in your inventory.
Put the Truffle worms as your first ammo slot.
Done.

ok so what I did personally, was remove my afk machine which caused the Ocean biome to be a hybrid. With that thing removed, I went fishing annnnnnnd caught the boss after like 8 seconds or so of waiting. And dam was he tough

The problem is that you wait for something to come up. You only need to set your rod in the water then retract it. It's a necro but I don't care.
