Room too big?
So I apparently like to create rooms that are "too big" for npcs to live in (bigger than 750 tiles); is there ANYWAY to increase the number? I have looked for any file that I could open and look for this and I have found nothing! I am starting to get frusterated becauseI am not going to ruin the beauty of my buildings just for damn npcs to live there. Also, why the hell would they put a max room size anyway? Why would it even matter how large the rooms are?

If you have anything that will be helpful to increase the room size, then please let me know since google search doesn't like to look up what I type in -.-

Its not like I made a giant chapel and tried putting a person in it. I made a tavern and I created like a banqet hall in it but its "too big" of a room. I understand that I can't go over 750 (which I think is stupid) and I don't want to ruin the beauty of the building in order to put people into it.

Well the thing is that I was making buildings that was fitting for each npc. like I have a mod that adds a witch so I made a house that looks like a witch's hat.
I hate that too, probably why most people build crappy square houses..
I'm looking for a mod that fixes that right now..

You can use echo blocks to make a perimeter small enough to be valid, youll still bump into it though.

Echo platforms. That's the answer. Platforms count as doors. Echo platforms are invisible. Echo paint can make things invisible. Using the platforms to section off your building into smaller rooms and painting them with Echo paint to hide anything aesthetically unpleasant should solve your dilemma.

Seriously , I don't know how they even find these old topics , if they were asking a question I could see them maybe finding this by googling , but they are giving an answer so what brought them here ?

Steam needs some kind of warning (Are you sure you want to post on this old topic) and then it should suggest that they make a new one instead or something.

This topic got necro'd twice even , in 2019 and then now.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
