For me, if Terraria is really clone of Minecraft, then Terraria will be 3D games with a bunch of blocks that has nearly same looking texture like in Minecraft. The mob will be a 3d pig with nearly same texture, zombie, and etc. There will be just 1 boss to defeat like Minecraft (correct me if there is 2 boss). Also the logo will be a 3D model of minecraft except with skin. And there is no Npc such as nurse, merchant, guide etc but it will be villager only.
Terraria is not a clone of Minecraft. Clone is some of copy cat that steal an ideas, concept etc.
So if we look in the difference between Terraria and Minecraft there is so much different in it and you can't say Terraria is a clone.
I just try to answer your question and i dont offended by your thread. If you considered a success troll on me, you are wrong.
Literally the only similar aspect is blocks. That's it. Nothing else. Does Minecraft have 10+ bosses? Does Minecraft have 3,000+ items? Does Minecraft have town NPCs that actually sell you useful items?
You obviously haven't reached Hardmode yet. Once you kill the boss of the Underworld, things start to change. Hardmode allows you to fight new bosses and progress further, allowing you to get new items like swords that fire laser beams, pickaxes that can shred through the hardest of blocks, and alligator-themed gatling guns.
Progression is not slow in Terraria. When you get the hang of things, it's actually very fast. You can reach Hardmode on the second night, and you can even reach the final boss in two hours if you're speedy and good at working out ways to kill bosses with weak equipment.
