What weapon to use against plantera, fetid baghnakhs or the death sickle?

I'm wondering which to use, and please say if there's something better.

For Plantera, i'd recommend the megashark with crystal bullets for the little tentacle biter things she sends. The flamethrower is also a very good choice.

It sounds like what you're doing is melee only, in which case the death sickle is the best thing I can think of.

I got the megashark and crystal bullets and all that, but, what about potions, arena? did you use those?

Make a HUGE arena. No matter how big it is, it has to be massive. Include Heart statues, fireplaces, star lamps, heart lanterns all over the place to get the max stats. Also don't forget to include honey at the bottom, just a block worth of honey so when you dip, you get the regeneration buff.
Potions would be, Archery, Movement, Regeneration, Ironskin, endurance, titian, Mana, and any food consumable.
Then your ready, if you want to use a melee. The Death Stickle is extremely helpful, only if you have it on you. Other than that, use a yoyo. (Yelets) with the yoyo bag if you can obtain. Use any armour that consists going over 60+ defence.

Now that's all you should need.

In massive empty arenas Plantera moves pretty fast even non enraged and speaking of which there is risk there won't be enough jungle grass in some spots which might enrage her and cause the fight to be more difficult.

Massive arenas for her are not such a good idea but yea don't make it too small either.
Add solid cover around the arena helps greatly and slows her down a bit as she has to climb through all this.

^Also notice that i have farm built above the arena that is both for Life Fruits AND Plantera bulbs as they grow quite often (almost every 1-2 ingame days) so that saves your time looking for bulbs and making arena on the spot.

Also adding teleporter on each side of arena helps a lot in evading her attacks.

Update: I defeated plantera with fetid baghnakhs only with a campire, a health regeneration potion, ironskin potion, heart lantern, and my accessories, didn't need an arena and I had around 400 health in the end.
