Speaking of, I'd really like some assistance when it comes to getting a Hallow Biome, for whatever reason it's in the Jungle! I can't make Holy Water to spread the Hallow to a specific area because there's no valid place for pixies to spawn!
No, there is a limited range to the background walls from a source block.
But background walls can't spread to blocks. Alucard made a video of that but I forgot to save the link. And walls can't spread more than 3 away from the source block.
Pearlstone bricks can't be corrupted. Only Dirt, Stone, Ice, Sand, Sandstone and Hard Sandstone can be converted. And Mud turns to dirt.
You can buy Hallow seeds from the Dryad, plant them where you want some hallow.
Pearlstone bricks are not a spreading block, but Pearlstone Blocks are. No "crafted" block will spread or be infected. Ebonstone Bricks for example don't spread. Nethier does Demonite Bricks or Leison Blocks .
You don't need to fill the gap or do it from top to bottom.
There is no need to fill the gap unless the corrupted side is dirt with grass on it. You can just as well place some platforms or rope to stop thorns from growing.
The best way to do it is to simply protect the areas you want to remain pure.
